[Deb.] 14
[Cat.] Ki Manipulation
[Peo.] Turtle Hermit, Son Goku, Son Gohan, Yamcha, Jackie Chun, Krillin, Son Gohan (Grandpa), Tenshinhan, Cell, Majin Buu (Good, Evil, Pure), etc.
[Par.] A ki manipulation technique invented by the Turtle Hermit. It is a technique that condenses ki into one point and then fires it. The technique’s power changes based on the strength of its user’s ki, and if mastered it also becomes possible to control its power. Son Goku soon learned this technique, maybe because of his ki training with Son Gohan (Grandpa), or maybe due to his special characteristics as a Saiyan. Tenshinhan also easily copied it. From this, it can be said that it is possible to use the Kamehameha merely by being able to control one’s ki.
[A.] The first person to use it in the movies is the Turtle Hermit in “The Legend of Shenron”. Goku learned it after seeing the Turtle Hermit’s technique. In “A Dangerous Pair! Super Warriors Can’t Rest”, Goku, Gohan, and Goten implement a 3 person Parent-Child combined technique. It obliterated the formidable enemy Broly. In “Rebirth of Fusion! Goku and Vegeta”, a fake Goku that appeared in Janenba’s hand fired one. In the theatrical version of "The Way to the Strongest", the Turtle Hermit used it to wipe out enemy missiles, bullets etc. Goku, who learned it just by seeing it, used it to defeat a giant robot controlled by Black of the Red Ribbon Army with a Kamehameha. Goku, who became a Super Saiyan, released one to extinguish Aka's Full Power Wahaha no Ha in "Hey! We're Back~". Goku could use it with the same power as before when he was turned into a child in "Dragon Ball GT". Pan also released it for the first time in the battle against Liu Xing Long. In the theatrical version of "God and God", Goku, who lost once to Beerus in battle, trained by firing a Kamehameha at himself.

The rapid rotation of this ki cuts through the opponent like an electric saw. Krillin used this technique during the battle against Nappa. In the battle after that, even Vegeta used a similar attack. This is the same attack as the Kienzan, but Vegeta didn’t give it a name.
[A.] In "Hey! We're Back~" Krillin protects Marron from falling objects with a continuum of Kienzan. In the match of Goku vs Cell/Freeza in "Dragon Ball GT", Freeza uses it. Goku said "That's Krillin's technique!" as he avoided it. Furthermore, Goku got on top of it and played around riding it like a surfboard.

[Cat.] Physical Martial Art
[Peo.] Jackie Chun, Son Goku, Krillin, Piccolo
[Par.] A technique brought out by Jackie Chun at the 21st Tenkaichi Budokai. It is a technique where he leaves an afterimage by moving rapidly, in order to throw off his opponent’s attack. Like the Kamehameha, Goku was able to master this technique merely by seeing it. Piccolo also used this technique during his fight with Krillin. After Krillin was fooled by the decoy afterimage, and knocked Krillin down from behind his back. This became the decisive blow, and Krillin surrendered to Piccolo. Perhaps Piccolo acquired this technique as a result of wholeheartedly training to defeat Goku. However, it is also very possible that this was a technique that Piccolo acquired during his time as a martial artist, before he split up.
[A.] Goku and Vegeta used this technique to buy time for a Fusion in "Dragon Ball GT", By moving at ultra-high speeds around Super Yi Xing Long, they created multiple Fusion poses, which messed with him.

瞬間移動 Shunkan Idō
Shunkan Ido
[Deb.] 336
[Cat.] Movement
[Peo.] Son Goku, Cell, Nekomajin Z, Metal Coola, Others
[Par.] A technique that Goku learned from the aliens that live on Planet Yardrat, which he visited by chance when he escaped from Planet Namek. This teleportation senses a person’s ki, then moves to where that person is. Because of this, it is impossible to move anywhere that does not have people or ki you know. Cell remembered this way of moving when he teleported with Goku. This technique is not just used for moving, but can also be included in offensive techniques.
[A.] Metal Coola used this in the movies. But his opponent Goku used the same technique, and he battled Goku in the space they moved through. In “Burn Up!! A Close–Intense–Super Fierce Fight”, Goku finished teleporting right as Krillin unleashed a punch, and was hit by it. In "God and God", Goku teleported to wrap around behind Beerus to attack him, but it was avoided.

[Cat.] Ki Manipulation
[Peo.] Piccolo Daimao, Piccolo, Cell, Nappa, etc.
[Par.] This puts into usage as a technique a shock wave, a wall of air produced when objects move through the atmosphere faster than the speed of sound. Since it doesn’t directly attack with ki, it is not a ki manipulation technique strictly speaking, but it similar to them in that it inflicts great damage on a distant opponent. It inflicts damage on the enemy by producing an artificial shock wave through rapid hand movement or the emission of ki. Furthermore, it is possible to fire it straight forward without concentrating power.
[A.] Luud fires a shock wave from his mouth in "Dragon Ball GT". Its power was enough to blow Trunks away with a direct hit.

超サイヤ人 Sūpā Saiya-jin
Super Saiyan
[Deb.] 317
[Cat.] Ability
[Peo.] Gotenks, Son Goku, Son Gohan, Son Goten, Vegeta, Trunks, Vegito, Broly, Bardock, Others
[Par.] The ultimate Saiyan warrior that surpasses the limits of a regular Saiyan. Originally, the existence of this form outside of legend was doubted even among Saiyans. In reality, any Saiyan that possess a high fighting power above the standard level is capable of becoming a Super Saiyan. Possessing a calm heart, sensing extreme danger, feeling strong anger or sadness, or a danger to the Saiyan race itself seem to be states that are the essential to transforming. In addition to the outward signs of the transformation such as an aura, golden hair that stands straight up, and sharp, hawk-like eyes with emerald green pupils, a battle power 50-times that of normal are proof of the legendary mightiest warrior.
[A.] In the anime, the Super Saiyan's distinctive golden aura was represented with special effects known as brush processing and permeation light. The legendary Super Saiyan Broly debuted in “Burn Up! A Close, Intense, Super Fierce Battle” and appeared in 3 movies. Perhaps this instinct driven form is the true Super Saiyan, which the legend says will “Love destruction and slaughter”. In "Episode of Bardock", Bardock's anger exploded against Chilled who did villainous act towards the people of Planet Plant. He awakened as a Super Saiyan.
[S.] Onio who appears in "Nekomajin" became a Super Saiyan.

[Par.] The strongest form of Super Saiyan, which draws the hidden power of a Saiyan out to its limits. However, due to the large energy consumption of this form, outside of the World Beyond one can only stay transformed for a limited amount of time.
[A.] In "Dragon Ball GT", Goku became a Super Saiyan 3 when he fought on Earth against Vegeta who was hijacked by Baby. Since Goku had the form of a child, the power of the Super Saiyan 3 didn't last long due to his small body and so he returned to his original state.

In the movie version of God and God, Goku became a Super Saiyan God by receiving the ki of Gohan, Goten, Trunks, Vegeta and Pan while inside Videl's belly. As expected, with God as his opponent Yamcha was at a disadvantage, but for once his technique was the strongest. First, he gathers a ball of ki above the palm of his hand, then throws this at his opponent. After that, he manipulates the ki ball with his hand, with his middle and index fingers outstretched. He is able to manipulate it by having it continue moving even after burrowing underground. He also uses it as a feint.
[A.] In "Yo! We're back~", he uses it to protect Bulma and friends from the falling debris of a building. By skillfully manipulating the ki bullet, he destroyed the scattered debris

[Cat.] Ki Manipulation
[Peo.] Tenshinhan, Krillin, Son Goku, Cell
Special Characteristics: A Crane Hermit School technique. Tenshinhan first used it during his fight with Son Goku at the 22nd Tenkaichi Budokai. Gathering ki in his upper body, he converts it to light energy and radiates it out in front of his face. Blinding the opponent’s eyes, this is used when retreating from battle. The amount of light is connected to the strength of the person’s ki, and the light source will become stronger the more ki the user has. The first person from outside the Crane Hermit School to use this technique was Goku.
[A.] Goku, who became a Super Saiyan 4, showed off this technique against Vegeta Baby in "Dragon Ball GT". Goku fired it off at Vegeta Baby again in order to absorb the loving Saiya Power from Gohan, Goten and Trunks so he could return to full power. It’s a fearsome combination attack; tossing his opponent high in the air, just as they come down he punches them for a receive. Next, he hits them with an intense two-fist strike, knocking them down for a toss. Finally, he does an attack, jumping into the air and hitting the opponent snapshot, knocking them into the ground. [Deb.] 367
[Cat.] Ki Manipulation
[Peo.] Artificial Human #17, Artificial Human #17 (Super #17), Cell, Son Goku, Vegito
[Par.] A technique where ki is used to create a barrier around themselves, guarding against their opponents’ attacks. It can guard against ki manipulation-class techniques, as well as physical attacks such as missiles. What’s more, Vegito succeeded in avoiding being absorbed by Majin Buu (Evil). However, in order to use Barrier, they must constantly emit ki. In order to cancel the physical attacks and ki manipulation-class attacks of their opponents, they must emit at least double their opponents’ ki. It could be called natural for #17, with his eternal energy furnace, as well as Perfect Body Cell, who took over that eternal energy furnace, to be able use this technique. Also, It can be understood how Vegito, said to be the best in the universe in everything from the control of ki to power, would be able to use it as well. However, it seems that this technique cannot guard against the attacks of those who have ki far stronger than one’s own.
[A.] During the battle with Super #17 in “Dragon Ball GT”, although Goku was in an energy full power state and achieved close contact with Super #17 where he attempted to self-destruct, it had no effect because he erected a barrier. While fighting the ice manipulating San Xing Long, Goku erected a barrier that prevented his whole body from being packed in ice.

パワーボール Pawā Bōru
Power Ball
[Deb.] 232
[Cat.] Ability
[Peo.] Vegeta, Turles, Yi Xing Long
[Par.] A unique ability that only a limited few Saiyans are capable of. Converting his own energy, he produces a bright sphere of ki from the palm of his hand, throws it high into the air, and with the signal “Burst and Mix!”, he mixes it with the planet’s oxygen, creating an artificial full moon. The light emitted by this artificial full moon is packed with Bruits Waves surpassing 17 million zeno, and through this a Saiyan can transform into an Oozaru. This artificial moon is extinguished after 90 minutes.
[A.] Turles, who appeared in “Super Decisive Battle for Earth”, also used this technique. He used it to turn Gohan into an Oozaru, but he soon destroyed the artificial moon with an energy bullet in order to prevent himself from transforming. However, as a result of the technique, Gohan continued to be an Oozaru for quite awhile and become violent. Used by Yi Xing Long in "Dragon Ball GT". He condenses the Minus Energy from the overuse of the Dragon Balls which creates a Power Ball.

ビッグバンアタック Biggu Ban Atakku
Big Bang Attack
[Deb.] 344
[Cat.] Ki Manipulation
[Peo.] Vegeta
[Par.] A ki manipulation wave which Vegeta fired at Artificial Human #19. This technique, which easily destroyed Artificial Human #19, could be said to be Super Saiyan Vegeta’s version of the Galick Cannon. However, the differences between it and the Galick Cannon are the way of firing it and the shape of the ki. First, he sticks one hand out in front, then emits a ki blast from the palm of that hand. This ki is condensed down into one big bundle and can deal heavy damage inside one specific range, in contrast with the Galick Cannon, which attacks a wide range. After the Big Bang Attack was fired, the ground was wiped out from the spot where Artificial Human #19 was and onward, as if it had been hollowed out. This effectiveness made it Vegeta’s strongest attack at the time.
[A.] Vegetto used this during his battle with Buu. Even though he was going easy on Buu, it still had enough tremendous force to instantly blow Buu’s body to pieces. In “Clash!! 10,000,000,000 Powerful Warriors”, Vegeta fired this at Metal Coola at close range, but Metal Coola dodged it with Shunkan Ido. In "Dragon Ball GT", Vegeta shot this at Gohan when he was parasitized by Baby.

[Cat.] Ki Manipulation

舞空術 Bukū-jutsu
Bukujutsu
[Deb.] 119
[Cat.] Ki Manipulation
[Peo.] Krillin, Son Goku, Son Gohan, Son Goten, Chaozu, Tenshinhan, Videl, others
[Par.] As a unique technique of the Crane Hermit Style, it seems that the Crane Hermit is the one who thought it up. By emitting ki from the entire body, one moves as if dancing through the air. It’s a basic ki manipulation technique, on par with the ki blast. Like Videl, anyone can do it merely be learning how to use ki. Also, Krillin and Goku learned this technique through self study. The speed the user moves through the air with Bukujutsu is related to their level of skill and the extent of their ki. Those aliens who can fly, such as Piccolo, move through the sky using the same principle as Bukujutsu. The Turtle Hermit never used this technique, perhaps because he had Kintoun and Baby Gamera.
[A.] Pan also uses it in "Dragon Ball GT".
[S.] The Nekomajin who appear in "Nekomajin" like Nekomajin Z and Nekomajin Mike can also use it.

フュージョン Fyūjon
Fusion
[Deb.] 469
[Cat.] Special
[Peo.] Trunks & Goten, Son Goku & Vegeta
[Par.] The specialty technique of the people of Planet Metamor. Goku learned this art from some people from Planet Metamor who he met in the afterlife. It is an art where two humans can merge together only if their power and body size are very close, and through merging the two users give birth to a separate person who possesses power and techniques far surpassing what they had on their own. When merging, the two users must perform the Fusion pose symmetrically; this pose if very embarrassing for two adults to perform. In the story, Trunks and Goten perform this Fusion, but they fail two times because their pose is slightly wrong. When they fail at this technique, it greatly changes the body type of the resulting person, making them fat or thin, and rather than strengthening the two users, it makes them weaker. The name after merging becomes a combination of the two users’ respective names, and in Trunks and Goten’s case, they ended up named Gotenks. Furthermore, after merging, their clothes are those of the citizens of Planet Metamor.
[A.] A Fusion between Goku and Vegeta came to fruition only in the movie “The Rebirth of Fusion!!~”. Vegeta hated the idea of performing Fusion with his rival, Goku. But cornered by the evil enemy Janenba, he ends up reluctantly performing Fusion with Goku. However, they fail once. In "Yo! We're back~", Goten and Trunks try it in their fight against Aka, but fail the first time due to a long absence. It was used again by Goten and Trunks in the movie "God and God". They fused to punish Beerus for rampaging as he could't eat any pudding, but he got his butt slapped. In "Dragon Ball GT", Goku and Vegeta fused to become Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta against Super Yi Xing Long, bu the power consumption was so intense that it only lasted 10 minutes.

フライング・フォーメーション Furaingu Fōmēshon
Flying Formation
[Cat.] Combo
[Peo.] Super Mega Cannon Sigma
[Par.] Super Mega Cannon Sigma changed into this form in response to the anti-air warfare in "Dragon Ball GT". It can freely change in accordance to the battle, such as a formation for land warfare.

フラッシュボンバー Furasshu Bonbā
Flash Bomber
[Cat.] Weapon
[Peo.] Artificial Human #17 (Super #17)
[Par.] Super #17's special attack that appears in "Dragon Ball GT". With both hands raised, he continuously fires energy bullets from all ten of his fingertips like a machine gun which gradually cornered Goku. Incidently, when his wrist is removed, his arm becomes a machine gun.

分身 Bunshin
Doppelganger
[Cat.] Ability
[Peo.] Piccolo, Krillin, Medamatcha, Gogeta (Super Saiyan 4), Abo, Kado
[Par.] A technique which Piccolo and the others displayed countless times during training. Also, in “Super Saiyan Son Goku”, one of the enemies, Medamatcha, produced four doppelgangers, who drained Gohan’s power.
[A.] It was used by Abo and Kado in Hey! We're Back~ when they were cornered by Goten and Trunks. They can each divide into three bodies, but they each only have one main body which Gohan noticed because the doppelgangers don't have “ki”. Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta's five doppelgangers from "Dragon Ball GT" had enough power to overwhelm Super Yi Xing Long. They threatened to simultaneously fire a Kamehameha but it was pretend and they fired crackers to toy with Super Yi Xing Long.

He
Fart
[Deb.] 36
[Cat.] Special
[Peo.] Krillin, Nekomajin Z
[Par.] Krillin, who was put down by Bacterian's Silent Fart, unleashed this sneaky technique as payback. Indeed Bacterian can smell the farts of other people.
[S.] Nekomajin Z used this during the time of his bout with Goku in "Nekomajin". He drew with Goku with this fart so he did it to mess with him.

ヘルズバスター Heruzu Basutā
Hell's Buster
[Cat.] Combo
[Peo.] Cell and Freeza
[Par.] A combination technique created by Cell and Freeza in "Dragon Ball GT". They wrapped Goku in a sphere of light and plunge him into the "Hell of Hell".

Transfiguration Beam
[Deb.] 454
[Cat.] Ability
[Peo.] Majin Buu (Good), Majin Buu (Evil), Uub (Merged)
[Par.] A technique where he transforms his opponent’s form by firing a special beam from the tail-like antenna on his head. Since he transforms his opponent into what he imagines in his mind, mostly he changes people into his beloved candy. He’s not limited to just transforming one person at a time, but can transform large numbers of people all at once, like when he turns everyone in a large city into candy all at the same time. Apart from this he uses it for various other things, such as turning the people of a town into clay to build his house with, or turning Chi Chi into an egg.
[A.] Used by Uub and Majin Buu merged together in "Dragon Ball GT". It was repelled by Baby and accidentally turned a group of brainwashed earthlings into chocolate.

変化 Henge
Shapeshifting
[Deb.] 5
[Cat.] Special
[Peo.] Oolong, Puar, Nekomajin Mike
[Par.] A shapeshifting art which they can perform through having studied at the Southern Transformation Kindergarten. Puar can transform into anything, but Oolong can only imitate the shapes of objects, since he dropped out of school, and what’s more has a time limit of 5 minutes to his transformations.
[S.] In "Nekomajin", Nekomajin Mike transformed into a bull to lure out Agarizame. Also, he encouraged Kojiro by transforming into Agarizame and purposely getting knocked out by him.

変身能力 Henshin Nōryoku
Transformation Ability
[Deb.] 263
[Cat.] Ability
[Peo.] Zarbon, Freeza, Kuriza, etc.
[Par.] The ability to transform at will. After transforming, their battle rating increases immensely. The number of transformations varies by race, according to the abilities held by the transforming-type aliens. In Zarbon’s case, he only transformed a single time, powering up by going from his normal, beautiful form and turning into an unimaginably ugly monster. The strength of that monster far surpassed Vegeta. In Freeza’s case, he went as far as a fourth form, and in his short final form he displayed unpredictable power to Goku and the others.
[S.] In "Nekomajin", Kuriza's transformation looks like Freeza's final form with a pointy head. Nekomajin Z also imitated the transformation and transformed from single eyelids to double eyelids.

メガトンブルクラッシャー Megaton Buru Kurasshā
Megaton Bull Crusher
[Cat.] Physical Martial Art
[Peo.] Piroshki the Mighty
[Par.] He rushes at his opponent while spinning his hands at high speeds. He used it in his fight against Cell, but he couldn't even approach him due to Cell's strong ki.

予知夢 Yochimu
Predictive Dream
[Cat.] Ability
[Peo.] Beerus
[Par.] The dream Beerus had in the theatrical version of "God and God". It seems that the success rate, such as "An idol will move next to Beerus' castle", is not very high. Although the dream of "fighting a Super Saiyan God" came true. A prophetic fish living near Beerus' castle has a prophetic ability similar to the Predictive Dream.

リベンジ・デスボール Ribenji Desu Bōru
Revenge Death Ball
[Cat.] Ki Manipulation
[Peo.] Vegeta Baby
[Par.] Appears in "Dragon Ball GT". A technique that could be called an evil "Genki Dama" that gathers energy from parasitically brainwashed people. In the mass of evil ki is the resentment of the Tsufurians from being exterminated by the Saiyans.

リベンジャーカノン Ribenjā Kanon
Revenger Cannon
[Cat.] Ki Manipulation
[Peo.] Hatchihyack
[Par.] A technique that incorporates the grudges of warriors who have fallen in it's body and fires it as an energy wave. It was used during it's fight against Goku's group in "Super Saiyan Extermination Plan". It is powerful enough to send a Super Saiyan into danger with a single shot, but sympathy appears just before the technique is fired.

烈風真空斬 Reppū Shinkū Zan
Gale Vacuum Slash
[Cat.] Ability
[Peo.] Liu Xing Long
[Par.] A good technique of the evil dragon Liu Xing Long who commands the wind and air that appeared in "Dragon Ball GT". He manipulates the surrounding air and fires a mass of air as a sharp cutter. The attack was manipulated to fly at Goku, tearing up his uniform.

狼牙風風拳 Rōgafūfūken
Rogafufuken
[Deb.] 8
[Cat.] Physical Martial Arts
[Peo.] Yamcha, Gotenks
[Par.] A style of martial arts which the bandit Yamcha invented on his own. He moves just like a wolf trying to bite its opponent to death with sharp fangs. It’s a rapid-fire attack which uses punches and kicks, letting loose attacks which stress speed, then catching the opponent off guard to smash them with a single powerful, two-handed blow. In the land which he had marked off as his territory, he ends up in a battle with Goku and the others when he tries to take away their money and capsules, and uses this technique to knock out an empty-stomached Goku.
[A.] In the theatrical version of "Road to the Strongest", Yamcha in first bout against Goku blows him away with a Rogafufuken. In "Yo! We're back~", Gotenks used it in his fight against Aka referring to it as "Mr. Yamcha's~".

ロケットパンチ Roketto Panchi
Rocket Punch
[Deb.] 58
[Cat.] Weapon
[Peo.] Artificial Human No. 16, Sergeant Metallic, General Rildo
[Par.] Aiming at their opponent, they attack by shooting off their iron fist. It’s a very mecha-feeling method of attack. If ki blasts are chemical projectile weapons, then this could be called a physical projectile weapon. Artificial Human No. 16 unleashed an intense punch against Cell, who even Piccolo couldn’t scratch after merging with God. In Sergeant Metallic’s case, he fired this technique at Goku on the 2nd floor of Muscle Tower, right before his battery ran out.
[A.] A technique of General Rildo's that appears in "Dragon Ball GT". As General Rildo's whole body is a weapon, he can detach his arm from his body. He aims at his target and fires his arm like a rocket to attack.

惑星間移動 Wakusei-kan Idō
Interplanetary Movement
[Peo.] Whis
[Par.] Used by Whis in "God and God". With his staff, he moves between planets at high speeds. It takes approximately 26 minutes to go from Beerus' Castle to Kaio's planet. He's fast enough to go from Kaio's planet to Earth in 3 minutes.

ワハハノ波 Wahahano-ha
Wahaha no Ha
[Cat.] Ki Manipulation
[Peo.] Aka
[Par.] A technique used to defeat Gotenks in "Hey! We're Back~". He fires a spherical energy bullet from his mouth. It's power is intense enough to not be perceived by Gotenks.

ワハハノ波 派生技:スーパーワハハノ波 Wahahano-ha Hasei-waza: Sūpā Wahahano-ha
Wahaha no Ha Derivative Technique: Super Wahaha no Ha
[Cat.] Ki Manipulation
[Peo.] Aka
[Par.] A technique used by Aka in his fight against Gotenks in "Hey! We're Back~". He breathes onto a mass of energy he created which attacks in a wide area like a shotgun.

ワハハノ波 派生技:フルパワーワハハノ波 Wahahano-ha Hasei-waza: Furu Pawā Wahahano-ha
Wahaha no Ha Derivative Technique: Full Power Wahaha no Ha
[Cat.] Ki Manipulation
[Peo.] Aka
[Par.] A final secret technique used in "Hey! We're Back~". He spits out a gigantic brownish coloured energy bullet that far surpasses the Wahaha no Ha.
Since Daizenshu 7's Special Attack Dictionary has already been translated here, I thought I'd do the same with Chozenshu 4's Special Attack Dictionary, which is updated from Daizenshu 7's with techniques from Dragon Ball GT (or "DBGT" for short), spin off series like Nekomajin, the special Hey! Son Goku and Friends are Back~ and the movie God and God (AKA Battle of Gods), anything that came out after that isn't in it, so no Golden Freeza, Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan or Whis' Temporal Do-Over and nothing from Dragon Ball Super. It also differs from Daizenshu 7 in the following ways.
  • Techniques that are derived from other techniques (for example, the Super Kamehameha) are called by the original techniques name and then "Derivative Technique" (派生技 Hasei-waza) followed by the derivative technique's name, for example, "Kamehameha Derivative Technique: Super Kamehameha" (かめはめ波 派生技:超かめはめ波 Kamehame-ha Hasei-waza: Chō Kamehame-ha).
  • The category "Combo" (連けい Renkei) is now spelt with all kanji instead of kanji for "Ren" and hiragana for "Kei" (連携 Renkei).
  • The "Debut"/[Deb.] section omits the "Chapter" and just uses the number. E.g. instead of "[Deb.] Chapter Two-Hundred and Ten" (【初】其之二百十 [Hatsu] Sono Nihyakujū), it now just says "[Deb.] 210" (【初】210 [Hatsu] Nihyakujū).
  • Some techniques that were mentioned in the Character Dictionary under the "Techniques" section of a character's profile are given entries, e.g. Hatchihyack's Revenger Cannon.
  • Some pre-existing techniques are given extra descriptions for their respective users, e.g. San Xing Long's version of Eye Beam having freezing properties.
  • Some anime-only techniques now state in the "Particularities"/[Par.] section what TV special or movie they appeared in, e.g. the techniques that appear in "Dragon Ball GT".

Some techniques are also renamed and/or reclassified.

  • Ki Blast is now called "Ki Blast (Energy Wave, Energy Bullet)" (気功波(エネルギー波、エネルギー弾) Kikō-ha (Enerugī-ha, Enerugī-dan)).
  • Doctor Gero's Energy Wave (エネルギー波 Enerugī-ha), which is where he fires the life energy he absorbed through the lens-like energy absorption device on his palm back out of it as a beam, is now called "Energy Emission" (エネルギー放出 Enerugī Hōshutsu) and is classed as a Ki Blast Derivative Technique, despite still being categorized as "Ability" instead of "Ki Manipulation".
  • Son Gohan's Energy Bullet (Unconsciously Generated Type) (エネルギー弾(無意識発生型) Enerugī-dan (Muishiki Hassei-gata)), which is the attack he used to knock Garlic Junior into the Dead Zone, is now classed as a Ki Blast Derivative Technique.
  • Bido, Bujin and Zangya's Psychic Power (超能力 Chōnōryoku), where they ensnare Son Gohan in a string like barrier, is called "Psychic Attack" (超能力攻撃 Chōnōryoku Kōgeki).
  • Psychokinesis (サイコキネシス Saikokineshisu) is now called "Psychokinesis (Psychic Power)" (サイコキネシス(超能力) Saikokineshisu (Chōnōryoku)).
  • The two techniques which are both called Self-Destruction (自爆 Jibaku), one of which is canon and the other is anime-only, have been combined into one entry with the anime-only version's description being in the [A.] section, using the canon version's categorization "Ability". The anime-only version was categorized as "Attack".
  • Son Goku is stated to be a person who uses Ki Barrier (気のバリヤー Ki no Bariyā), which was originally exclusive to Broly.
  • Mister Satan's Satan Miracle Special Ultra Super Megaton Punch is now called "Satan Miracle Special Ultra Super Megaton Punch (Satan Miracle Beautiful Super Bari-Bari Punch) (サタンミラクルスペシャルウルトラスーパーメガトンパンチ(サタンミラクルビーチフルスーパーバリバリパンチ) Satan Mirakuru Supesharu Urutora Sūpā Megaton Panchi (Satan Mirakuru Bīchifuru Sūpā Baribari Panchi))". Yes, that is what it is called, and it's just a punch to the face after leaping at them.

Some of the techniques have odd categories, for example Si Xing Long's Burning Spin is categorized as "Special" even though it says it's derived from his ability to manipulate heat, so why isn't it categorized as "Ability"? Also, some techniques still aren't "officially" named, like Freeza's Death Ball, Gogeta's Soul Punisher, Trunks' Burning Attack and Si Xing Long's Burst Reflection (the attack where he creates a giant lens to amplify sunlight into a fire-like beam).

Also, there's a typo. It was Gotenks that used the Haikyuken in "Yo! We're back~", not Trunks.

Also in case you're wondering

  • [Deb.] = "Debut", the first chapter of the manga the technique appeared in.
  • [Cat.] = "Category", the category that the technique falls under, such as "Ki Manipulation", "Physical Martial Arts" or "Ability".
  • [Peo.] = "People", the people (characters) that use the technique.
  • [Par.] = "Particularities", as in the particular characteristics of the technique, such as what effect it has and/or how it works.
  • [A.] = "Anime", information about the techniques appearances in animated material, like the TV show(s) and movies.
  • [S.] = "Spin-Off", information about the techniques appearance in spin-off material.
